White Sands

Laddie Eight
Laphroaig's story began in 1815 when brothers Alexander and Duncan Johnston crafted a recipe for their distinctive whisky. Lore—the name itself—honours that heritage: the knowledge and craft passed down through generations. This is no ordinary single malt, but a deliberate marriage of casks of varying age: ex-bourbon, European oak, oloroso sherry, and quarter casks blended together. That composition is the whisky's backbone, a multi-layered expression that distils Laphroaig's history into one bottle.
The blend delivers the distillery's signature peat and smoke, but enriched by sherry influence and bourbon sweetness. At 48% ABV, Lore carries its character without dilution.
On the nose, soft fruit and malt give way to a palate that doesn't hold back: black pepper, oak tannins, dry peat and wood smoke hit hard. The finish is long and unwavering—hazelnut, peat smoke, and citrus linger and slowly fade. This is Laphroaig uncompromised, its iodine and smoke still front and centre, but layered with a richness that sets it apart.
