Glengarry takes its name from Alexander Ranaldson MacDonnell of Glengarry, one of the last great Highland clan chieftains, who adopted traditional Highland dress in 1794. This 12-year-old single malt from Loch Lomond distillery showcases the versatility of a distillery equipped with four different types of stills and barley peated to three distinct levels.
Matured in oak casks, it strikes a balance between floral lightness and gentle smoke. Golden barley aromas open the nose, followed by toffee, soft fruits, and citrus notes. The palate is smooth and warming, with a mildly peaty finish that anchors its Highland character without overwhelming the fruit and spice underneath.
