The family descends from Gregor, third son of King Alpin, and survived a brutal history—driven from their lands, hunted, and forbidden by law from using their own name for 170 years. The whisky, owned by William Grant & Sons since 1964, blends malts and grains from across Scotland into an approachable, unpretentious dram.
