62 Gun Original Reserve

Royal Salute takes its name from the traditional 62-gun salute, a ceremonial honour fired at royal occasions. This is no ordinary blended Scotch: the name references a military tradition symbolizing respect and dignity. Chivas Regal, itself founded in 1909 as the world's first luxury blended whisky, created Royal Salute as the pinnacle of their legacy.

This blend draws from over 50 exceptional Scottish malt and grain whiskies, a significant portion matured in American oak. Notably, parts of the blend are finished in Japanese Mizunara oak—a rare wood prized for its subtle, layered influence. This composition delivers depth without pretension.

On the nose: warmth emerges—ripe fruit and honey—followed by waves of nutty, oaken character. The palate brings intense sweet orange into dialogue with those nutty notes, while a whisper of smoke adds complexity. The finish feels full and integrated, its elements meld rather than compete.
