2007 The Murray Triple Wood '30 Years .de'

Wings of the Eagle
Edradour is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, founded in 1825 as a farmer's cooperative in Perthshire. The name translates from Gaelic as 'between two waters'. In 2002, Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage, acquired the distillery and preserved its traditional methods — including worm tubs that give the raw spirit a spicier, peppery character.
This 2009 bottling matured for ten years in a first-fill sherry butt (cask 66, just 920 bottles). Bottled at cask strength (57.9%) without dilution or chill-filtration — exactly as it left the wood.
The nose unfolds slowly: ripe berries, toffee and chocolate, with hints of tobacco and old leather underneath. On the palate it feels soft yet intense, with dark fruit juices, sweet sherry and a whisper of pepper. The finish is long and dry, with smoke, raisins and a gently bitter coffee note.
