Chivas Regal
Dewar's 8 Years Caribbean Smooth
Dewar's was founded in 1846 by John Dewar in Perth and became one of the world's most awarded blended Scotch whiskies. The brand pioneered modern blending and introduced 'double maturation', where whiskies mature first in traditional casks, then finish in secondary vessels. Caribbean Smooth embodies this legacy: a blend of up to thirty malt and grain whiskies, each aged at least 8 years, then finished for 6 months in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks.
This finishing transforms the classic Dewar's profile. The nose opens with crisp apple and vanilla, followed by brown sugar and molasses. The palate reveals a soft, slightly oily body with chocolate, coconut cream, and caramel — almost dessert-like — balanced by oak and baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with oak and spice gradually fading.
