Falls Welsh

Aber Falls was founded in 2017 in the North Welsh village of Abergwyngregyn, whose name means 'mouth of the river of white shells'. This Welsh Single Malt is the distillery's second official release, and embodies a commitment to authenticity: all malt is sourced exclusively from local Welsh farmers, and the water comes from Wales itself. The distillery championed new regulations requiring Welsh whisky to be distilled, matured and bottled within Wales.

The malt has matured in a combination of Oloroso and PX sherry casks, bourbon barrels, and fresh white oak casks. This blend creates a balance of fruit, gentle sweetness, and subtle spice.

In the glass it shows a golden hue. The nose reveals fresh fruit—green apple and citrus—with floral notes of heather honey and hints of vanilla and toffee. The palate is smooth and pleasantly weighted, with malty cereal notes, lemon curd and candied orange, alongside vanilla, honey and a whisper of sweet tobacco spice. The finish is warm and relatively short.
