Dewar's 8 Years Caribbean Smooth

Coffey Grain
The Whistler takes its name from Pat Cooney, founder of Boann Distillery, whose whistling melodies reverberate through the distillery. In Ireland, whistling is a cultural art form—and Boann's mission is to revive the heritage of lost Irish distilleries. This 9-year-old blend was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for nine months in Sicilian Marsala wine casks.
The nose opens with confectionery orange and apricot notes, underpinned by honey and white chocolate. On the palate, a creamy entry reveals almond and spice, with charred oak and pepper emerging as the whisky develops. The finish is clean and warming, with surprisingly little burn despite the 58.2% ABV—the texture remains silky throughout.
This is a blended Irish whisky that refuses the template of light, approachable character. The Marsala finish adds depth and complexity without overwhelming the spirit's foundation.
