Triple Sherry Cask

Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask bridges the distillery's core range and single cask bottlings. This Taiwanese single malt matured in three distinct sherry casks: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Moscatel. The silver lines etched below the cork represent the Central Mountains and Xueshan Mountains that surround the distillery.

Each sherry type contributes its own layer. Oloroso brings richness and body, Pedro Ximénez adds dark fruit and molasses depth, while Moscatel introduces floral-sweet notes. The production water is filtered through volcanic rock, giving it mineral character—a geographical advantage unique to Taiwan's setting.

On the nose, dried berries, chocolate, and citrus emerge, supported by caramel and toffee. The three sherries work in concert rather than competing, while tropical fruit—a signature of Kavalan's subtropical maturation—surfaces gently beneath. The palate balances sweetness and dryness with surprising finesse, finishing soft and lingering.
