TB/BSW Thompson Brothers

Thompson Brothers TB/BSW has an intriguing origin: it was created by accident when a single malt was mistakenly poured into a tank. Brothers Simon and Philip Thompson, both seasoned figures in the Scottish whisky scene, transformed this fortunate mishap into a carefully crafted blended Scotch. They selected choice malt and grain whiskies, aged all components for over six years in a mix of refill and first-fill sherry hogsheads.

Maturation in sherry cask has given this blend a rich, layered character. The nose reveals dried fruit, orange peel, and chocolate, underpinned by spice and nutty depth. The palate unfolds with toffee, nutmeg, and warming spice, balanced by sweeter notes of honeyed confectionery and Christmas cake.

The finish is smooth yet persistent, offering medium spice and a hint of dark chocolate. This is a blended Scotch that transcends its category—not merely a house blend, but a whisky with genuine personality and craft intent.
