Gelston's was established in 1830 by Samuel Gelston, a wine and spirits merchant from Belfast whose trading house would endure for nearly two centuries. After his death in 1869, Harry Neill took over the business, and the Neill family has stewarded the brand ever since—five generations of continuity. This 12 Years Single Malt embodies that legacy: a whisky that respects time and craft without chasing trends.
Matured in American oak casks, it offers a soft, approachable foundation. At 43% ABV, it retains full flavour without the harshness of higher strength—a deliberate choice for balance over spectacle.
