Bruichladdich was founded in 1881 and has survived a turbulent history — closed and reopened repeatedly, changing hands, constantly reinventing itself. In 2001, the distillery came back to life under Mark Reynier and master distiller Jim McEwan, who gave it fresh direction. This 2002 is a product of that reopening era, when Bruichladdich was exploring different styles.
Matured in sherry casks, this 13-year-old single malt carries richness and depth without the peat signature that would define Octomore and Port Charlotte — this is the classic, unpeated Laddie.
