Tamdhu's Oldest Whisky Release

Tamdhu has released its oldest whisky to date with the Tamdhu 21 Year Old, launched in August 2025. This coming-of-age release marks a significant milestone for the distillery, fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks crafted from both American and European oak. The Moorish design of the display box reflects this cask heritage, with Tamdhu sourcing casks from renowned producers including Williams & Humbert.

This Speyside Single Malt bottled at 47.5% ABV strikes a remarkable balance between the spicy character of European oak and the roundness of American oak. With only 12,000 bottles produced, this limited release showcases Tamdhu's mastery of sherry maturation and represents exceptional value in the premium whisky category.

On the nose, plump raisins and fresh figs lead, followed by baking spices, walnuts, caramel and subtle tobacco notes. The palate delivers rich complexity with caramelized pecans, milk chocolate, citrus peel, vanilla and black pepper undertones. The finish is medium to long, featuring dark chocolate, brown sugar and warming oak spice with hints of ginger.
