Tamdhu marks an impressive comeback with the release of its 18-year-old Speyside single malt. Under Ian Macleod's ownership, the distillery has reinvented itself with a laser-focused commitment to 100% sherry-matured whisky. This 18-year-old is a dark and inviting dram that rivals much more expensive Speyside classics — all at an attractive price point of approximately €220.

This single malt has been matured entirely in sherry casks, resulting in a rich and complex profile. At 750ml per bottle, Tamdhu delivers a whisky where quality and value strike a perfect balance. The sherry maturation imparts the characteristic dark colour and full body that defines this release.

The nose reveals dried fruit, citrus, honey, hazelnut, and cherry notes. On the palate, dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, and oak emerge with a peppery edge. The finish is long and complex, with dried fruit, resinous character, dried spices, and tobacco.
