Murray McDavid releases a rare and precious 30-year-old Macallan, exclusively bottled for Aberdeen Whisky Shop. This impressive Speyside single malt represents three decades of maturation, with the whisky's character shaped through multiple cask influences. This is a release destined for devoted Macallan collectors and serious enthusiasts.

The spirit began its 30-year journey in an American oak ex-bourbon hogshead, followed by seven years in an Oloroso Sherry cask, where it developed mellow fruitiness. To complete its three-decade evolution, it was finished in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry cask from Ximénez-Spínola in Jerez, Spain. Bottled at 43.3% ABV in a 70 cL format, this release exemplifies patient maturation and expert cask management.

The nose reveals indulgent fresh honeycomb and sweet toffee aromas, followed by creamy barley sugars with hints of fig and pastry. The palate delivers moreish baking spices of cinnamon and nutmeg, alongside milk chocolate with suggestions of coffee and ginger biscuits. The finish is generous and memorable, leaving a satisfying kiss of sweet Sherry character.
