With only 3,000 bottles available worldwide, The Open Course Collection 2026 represents an exclusive addition to the Highland distillery's portfolio. This 19-year-old single malt continues Loch Lomond's long-standing partnership with golf's original championship, now in its ninth year.
Maturation and Production
Patiently matured for 19 years in American Oak casks, this whisky has been finished for six months in Tawny Port casks. Bottled at 46.9% ABV in 700ml bottles, it showcases impressive craftsmanship. Loch Lomond Distillery is Scotland's only distillery using the innovative Straight Neck Stills, allowing Master Blender Michael Henry greater control over flavour creation and delivering the distillery's distinctive house character.
Tasting Profile
The Tawny Port cask finish brings layers of rich red berries, dried fruits and sweet spice to complement Loch Lomond's signature fruity, honeyed and softly smoky profile. On the nose: dried fruit, vanilla, honey and dried spices. The palate reveals fresh fruit, caramel and dried spices, while the finish offers toffee, dried spices and sherried notes.
