Kavalan introduces its inaugural 15-year-old single malt whisky, a tribute to Taiwan's subtropical essence. This small-batch release celebrates the island's unique terroir and positions Kavalan as a serious contender in the global premium whisky market.

Crafted with meticulous cask selection, the whisky matures in ex-Bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks, Ruby port barrels, and Puncheons. Bottled at 43% ABV in 700ml format, this expression balances the characteristics of multiple wood types to achieve remarkable complexity and harmony.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect caramel apple mousse, fresh chocolate, and walnut cinnamon aromas layered with dried tangerine peel and plum. The palate reveals lush citrus notes—bergamot, lemon, orange, and grapefruit—mingling with dried cranberries, raisins, and longan, transitioning into dark chocolate gelato and caramel walnut coffee mousse. The finish delivers indulgent sweetness with toffee and black date fruit, concluding with lingering woody cinnamon spice.
