Chichibu Distillery unveils an exclusive limited-edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky in partnership with iconic department store Selfridges. This second collaboration between the two brands yields just 195 bottles, making it highly collectible. The whisky became available in May 2026 across Selfridges locations in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, as well as online.

Matured for seven years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, this whisky is bottled at cask strength (59.5% ABV). Non-chill filtered and without added colouring, this 2018 vintage release allows the spirit's true character to shine through. The first-fill bourbon cask imparts both depth and vibrancy to the final expression.

The nose reveals candied citrus, roasted orchard fruits, and honeysuckle, with a gentle hint of sweet cinnamon. On the palate, the whisky is rich and full-bodied, unveiling layers of ripe peach and brown sugar, before finishing with a warming, lingering vanilla sweetness. The label design echoes Selfridges' famous theatrical window displays, treated as art installations central to the retailer's identity.

This bottling showcases Chichibu Distillery's renowned craftsmanship. Founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2004, the distillery has earned cult status among whisky enthusiasts for its meticulous production approach. At €309 RRP, this is a highly sought-after release for collectors.
