Maple Whisky BBQ Sauce
This rich and complex BBQ sauce combines the sweetness of maple syrup with the depth of a good Irish whisky. Perfect for adding a delicious, sticky glaze and deep flavor to slow-cooked meats.

Step 1: Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.

Step 2: Add the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, maple syrup, and brown sugar to the pan and stir well.

Step 3: Let the mixture simmer and add the Irish whisky. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 4: Add salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce cool to room temperature before using it as a marinade or glaze.
