Filliers is a Belgian distillery tracing back to 1880, when Kamiel Filliers began distilling jenever on his farm. By the 1970s, the fourth generation started importing whisky; decades later, Filliers launched its own single malt—a deliberate step to continue Belgian grain-distilling heritage. This single malt matures in European oak casks, which develop character more slowly than American oak. The result is a whisky with deep, dried fruit tones and a rich, nutty nose. European oak provides structure and patience; the character unfolds gradually over years. On the palate, vanilla, toffee, and apple emerge, supported by subtle oak.
