This is no simple reissue — the elevated proof amplifies every layer of this single pot still whiskey, from first nosing to a long, drying finish. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry-seasoned casks, the same strategy that has defined Redbreast since 2005, this cask strength expression lets the signature pot still character shine with new intensity. Peppery spice, herbal notes, and an oily, full mouthfeel arrive with greater force, yet the whiskey retains its composure. On the nose: bright citrus and herbal undertones. The palate opens warm and oily, then turns peppery and spicy, with red berries and stone fruit woven through. The finish is long and drying, leaving enough residue to linger.
