Towiemore was a Speyside single malt distillery founded in 1896 by Peter Dawson, who subsequently sold it shortly after to the McPherson Grant family. Today, Towiemore remains a lost distillery, preserved in memory rather than in production. The Towiemore name has been revived by The Lost Distillery Company, a specialist bottler dedicated to recreating whiskies from closed Scottish distilleries. Their Towiemore expressions are crafted using historical research and blending expertise to approximate the character of the original distillery's spirit.
