Tipperary Boutique Distillery is an Irish farm distillery located in Newtownadam, County Tipperary, Ireland. Founded in March 2016 by Jennifer Nickerson and her father Stuart Nickerson, the distillery was five years in the planning before its doors officially opened. Stuart Nickerson brings considerable industry experience to the venture, and the family-run operation is part of a broader group that includes a significant stake in The Malt Whisky Company. The distillery is rooted in its local landscape, embracing a true farm-to-bottle philosophy. Tipperary Boutique Distillery made its mark with its first expression, a single malt Irish whiskey called 'The Rising', which was celebrated at launch and drew early attention from whisky enthusiasts and press alike. The distillery also produces Big Field Poitín, showcasing a broader range of Irish spirits beyond whiskey. True to its boutique character, Tipperary collaborates with local producers — including a nearby hotel that contributes hand-harvested mulberries to create bespoke, hyper-local expressions.
