Dalmunach is one of Scotland's newest and most contemporary distilleries, built by Pernod Ricard's Chivas Brothers in 2014 and operational since 2015. It was established on the historic site of the former Imperial distillery in Speyside, making it the 14th addition to the Chivas Brothers family of distilleries. From the outset, Dalmunach was designed with efficiency at its core, quickly earning a reputation as the most efficient distillery in the entire Pernod Ricard portfolio. The distillery's primary output is destined for some of the world's most celebrated Scotch whisky blends, including Chivas Regal, Ballantine's, and Royal Salute, as well as blends such as 100 Pipers, Clan Campbell, and Passport Scotch. Dalmunach released its first single malt expression in 2019 as part of a Chivas Brothers initiative — a 4-year-old cask strength bottling that offered whisky enthusiasts an early glimpse into the distillery's character. With its Speyside roots, Dalmunach contributes a fruity and approachable style typical of the region to the blends it supports.
