Organise Tastings

Organise your own whisky tasting! Invite friends, put together a line-up and taste together live. Everyone can track scores and tasting notes.

Creating a tasting

Start a new tastingGo to Tastings and click "New tasting". Enter a title, description, date and optionally a location.

Invite friendsSelect which friends you want to invite. They receive a notification and can accept, decline or indicate "maybe".

Put together the line-upAdd whiskies to the tasting. Choose from your collection or search for one. You determine the order.

Start the tastingWhen the time comes, click "Start tasting". All participants are notified and can join live.

Live tasting

During an active tasting, participants go "live". Here's how it works:

Whisky carousel
Scroll through the line-up and select the whisky you're currently tasting.
Give a score
Rate with 1 to 5 stars. Your score is automatically saved.
Tasting notes
Describe the nose, palate, finish and free notes for each whisky.
Tasting together
View scores and shared notes from other participants in real-time.

Blind tasting

Make it exciting with a blind tasting! The host can mark whiskies as "blind" – participants then only see "Mystery Whisky" instead of the name and image. After the session, the whiskies are revealed.

Blind tastings are a great way to avoid bias and judge purely on taste. Give it a try!

Viewing results

After the session, the host closes the tasting. Everyone can then view the results: all scores, tasting notes and the group favourites. Fun to look back on later!

Managing invitations

Been invited? You'll see invitations at the top of your Tastings page. You can:

  • Accept – you join in and can taste live
  • Maybe – with an optional reason ("I might still be working that day")
  • Decline – you won't participate
  • You can always change your choice as long as the tasting hasn't ended
