South Bridge

South Bridge Distillery was established in 1825 in the Highland region of Scotland, founded by Patrick Sill & Co. The distillery operated for a brief period before closing its doors in 1832, marking a short chapter in the rich tapestry of Scottish whisky history. Despite its limited lifespan, South Bridge contributed to the early development of the whisky industry in the Highlands. The production capacity of South Bridge during its operational years was modest, utilizing traditional pot stills typical of the period. The whisky produced was characterized by a lighter, floral profile, which was indicative of the Highland style, often showcasing hints of fruit and gentle spice. Although the distillery is no longer in operation, its legacy remains a point of interest for whisky enthusiasts and historians alike, reflecting the early innovation and craftsmanship in Scottish distilling.
