Kepp

Kepp Distillery, located in the Highland region of Scotland, was founded in 1795 by David Cassells & Co. The distillery operated for three decades before closing its doors in 1825. Despite its relatively short lifespan, Kepp played a role in the early development of whisky production in Scotland, reflecting the burgeoning interest in distilling during that era. The distillery's production capacity and techniques remain largely undocumented, but like many of its contemporaries, it would have employed traditional methods of pot still distillation. The character of Kepp's whisky is largely a matter of speculation, though it can be inferred that it likely exhibited the rich and robust flavors typical of Highland whiskies, possibly with a hint of smokiness. Today, Kepp is remembered for its historical significance rather than its products, as no expressions are available for visitors or collectors to sample, given its closure almost two centuries ago.
