Eaglesburn Distillery, located in the Dutch city of Arnhem, has been crafting single malt whisky since 2015 with meticulous attention to spirit quality and cask selection. This 5-year-old expression is matured in Quarter Cask and finished in Moscatel, combining Dutch craftsmanship with Spanish wine influences for a distinctive character. The nose reveals warm vanilla, light spices including cinnamon and clove, complemented by citrus and green apple notes. On the palate, complex spice flavours emerge alongside vanilla and orchard fruit characteristics from the Moscatel finish. The finish balances peppery spice with sweet fruit, creating a memorable and well-integrated dram. This whisky pairs beautifully with aged cheeses or serves as an elegant aperitif, thanks to its refined spice profile and fruity conclusion.
