Ben Nevis releases a rare 28-year-old single malt from 1993 as part of the prestigious Macbeth project by Livingstone Rare and Elixir Distillers. This ambitious initiative translates Shakespeare's play into whisky, featuring 42 bottlings across six acts. The Act Two release contains eight new expressions, with this Ben Nevis standing out as a particularly noteworthy offering.

This Highland whisky is 28 years old, bottled at 50.4% ABV from refill hogsheads. With only 850 bottles produced, it represents a rare addition to any collection. Extended fermentation using brewer's yeast has created the remarkable fruitiness characteristic of Ben Nevis's finest vintages.

The nose reveals refined aromas of verbena, spearmint and citrus alongside notes of apple and cashew nuts. On the palate, fruitiness emerges with whitecurrants, tangerines and passion fruit, balanced by spice, mint and mineral elegance. The finish is long, sweet-sour and saline.
