Eastbridge

Eastbridge Distillery, located in the Lowland region of Scotland, was founded in 1795 by Robert Speirs. This distillery played a role in the early development of Scotch whisky, contributing to the region's reputation for producing lighter, more approachable spirits. Despite its historical significance, Eastbridge closed its doors in 1848, and today, little remains of its operations, marking it as a notable yet short-lived chapter in Scottish distilling history. During its operation, Eastbridge was known for its modest production capacity and employed traditional distillation techniques that were common in the era. The whisky produced was characterized by its gentle, floral notes and a light, smooth profile, typical of Lowland whiskies. While no expressions remain available for tasting today, Eastbridge's legacy lives on as part of Scotland's rich whisky heritage, capturing the essence of the Lowlands' unique character.
