Meikle Tòir [MEE•kuhl Tor] is a peated single malt Scotch whisky range crafted at The GlenAllachie Distillery, located in Aberlour in the heart of Speyside. The name translates from Scottish Gaelic as 'big pursuit', reflecting the ambitious mission behind the range: to push boundaries and deliver exceptional peated whisky from one of Scotland's most celebrated Speyside distilleries. The project is guided by the revered Master Distiller Billy Walker, a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the Scotch whisky world. What makes Meikle Tòir stand out is its bold approach to peat within a Speyside context — a region not typically associated with heavily peated expressions. The range includes core expressions such as The Original and The Sherry One, a richly flavoured bottling matured in Oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks, both bottled at 48% ABV. More recently, the range has expanded to include limited single cask releases — including Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso expressions — as well as special editions like the Meikle Tòir Turbo 2025 Edition, showcasing the team's commitment to constant exploration and craft.
