Mac NaMara is a collection of blended Scotch whiskies produced by Pràban na Linne Ltd, a family-run business established in 1976 and one of the few remaining independent family enterprises in the Scotch whisky industry. The range was conceived by the late Sir Ian Noble, a gentleman farmer from the Isle of Skye, who sought to celebrate Gaelic heritage through whisky. Based on the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands, the Gaelic Whisky Company continues to craft expressions that reflect the character and culture of the Scottish Gaelic world. The Mac NaMara Rum Finish is a double-matured blended Scotch whisky, first aged in traditional Bourbon casks before undergoing an additional twelve months of maturation in Guyanese rum casks. This rum cask finish imparts a distinctly sweet and tropical character to the whisky, with light biscuit-like aromas, hints of sugarcane, and a warm, rounded sweetness on the palate. The expression is bottled non-chill filtered, preserving the natural oils and textures that give the whisky its fuller mouthfeel and depth of flavour.
